Pastor Lucious Hall
Installed February 23, 2013
One of our young adults who is also a PK, (Pastor's Kid) writes, “Every talent we have is a God-given trust. However, He just trusted some with more than others. Pastor Hall is one with an over abundance of blessing. He is sensitive to what is going on around him. While, at the same time he is uniquely different. He is a successful individual, yet one deeply committed to Christ and His cause. Pastor Hall is a product of our times. He was born with a talent and has developed that talent.” This “devoted” Pastor is a native of Georgia. After the completion of high school he enlisted in the U. S. Army where he served for six years. It was during his Military Service that he accepted the call to join the Lord’s Mighty Army of Christian Soldiers. So went on to study for the ministry at Oakwood University. From there he graduated with a B.A. degree in Theology and Social Work.
In 1987 Pastor Hall accepted the call from the Southeastern Conference to serve as Associate Publishing Director. He has served in this capacity from 1988 –1993. However, it was in 1993 that the executive committee voted that he assumes pastoral duties and responsibilities in the Brunswick and Waycross District. In 1995 he was transferred to the Avon Park, Bartow, and Winter Haven District where he served for five years. It was in his tenure that a third church was organized - the All-Nations Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Winter Haven. Additionally, a Radio Ministry called Voice of Hope was organized. The broadcast aired each Saturday and Sunday mornings on three stations across Central Florida. God has used the voice of Hope Broadcast in a tremendous way. The Voice of Hope Broadcast still continues to be heard in some parts of Central Florida.
Pastor Hall has shepherded the flock from 2000-2005 in the Miami/Hollywood District - Mt. Pisgah and First Ephesus congregations. While there, he also brought The Voice of Hope Broadcast to South Florida. The Broadcast had been on the air from 2002 every Sunday on Gospel 1490 AM until December 2012. In 2005, Pastor Hall was assigned to the Bethel and Mission Station District. Then, in December 2007, the Southernmost congregation in Key West was added to his assignment. This new congregation replaced the Mission Station church. In 2007 a church school was organized under his leadership from Pre. K - 8th Grade at the Bethel Church in Florida City. To God be the glory!
After faithfully serving this district, in December 2012, Pastor Hall was assigned to the Mt. Olivet Seventh-day Adventist Congregation in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Pastor Hall is presently pursuing the M.A. in Pastoral Ministry from Andrews University. His favorite text is found in Philippians 4:6-7. Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
He is married to the former Betsy M. Benjamin from Jamaica W.I. who is a Licensed Clinical Christian Counselor, author, and adjunct professor at Broward College. Pastor and Dr. Hall are proud parents and grand parents.
