Our Mission
To educate the members and neighbors of the Mount Olivet S.D.A. church community to recognize God’s Lordship of their life, time, talents, and treasures, and to encourage them to be His faithful steward.
The Mount Olivet Stewardship Ministry aims to have all acknowledged God’s ownership by encouraging proper stewardship of:
- our bodies
- our abilities
- our time
- our material possessions
- the Earth
Stewardship is the lifestyle of a person who recognizes and accepts the lordship of Jesus Christ and works in partnership with God, acting as His agent in the administration of his business on Earth. We acknowledge God’s ownership by faithful service to Him and our fellowmen, and by returning tithes and giving offerings for the proclamation of His gospel, and the support and growth of His church. Stewardship is a privilege that God has given us to grow in love and achieve victory over selfishness greed, and covetousness. The faithful steward rejoices at the blessings that others receive because of his faithfulness. (Gen. 1:26-28; 2:15; 1 Chron. 29:14; Hag.1:3-11; Mal.3:8-12: 1Cor.9:9-14; Matt. 23:23; 2Cor. 8:1-15; Rom.15:26, 27).
